Recently, it was learned from the national pipe network group that the Zhangjiakou branch project of Shaanxi Beijing line 4 natural gas pipeline started construction on the 10th. After completion, the gas supply can cover all winter Olympic venues in Zhangjiakou.

The total length of the project is 173.7 km, which is composed of 6 branch lines, 11 off load stations are set along the line, the designed annual gas transmission is 3.2 billion m3, and the total investment is 1.26 billion yuan. After the completion of the project, nearly 9 million cubic meters of natural gas can be transported to Zhangjiakou every day, benefiting about 220000 families in Zhangjiakou and realizing the "county to county connection" of natural gas in Zhangjiakou.

The relevant person in charge of the national pipe network group said that the four branches of the project will be put into operation in October this year, which is of great significance to further improve the clean energy consumption level in Zhangjiakou and practice the concept of "Green Olympics".
